The Satisfied
Woman
You built something real. And you can feel the ceiling on it. On the money, on the pleasure, on how much of any of it you can actually let in.
No amount of mindset work has moved it, because it was never in your mind. It's in your body.
Read it in an hour. Yours forever.
You have a letting-it-in problem.
You know how to want things. Wanting has never been your issue. You've wanted your way into a business, a body of work, a life that people ask you about.
And then something happens right at the edge of it getting good.
The launch goes well and you get very busy suddenly, with things that do not matter.
The relationship gets steady and you find yourself picking at the edges of it.
The money lands and you feel a flatness where the joy should be, and you don't tell anyone.
Everything is good, and you're waiting for the other shoe to drop.
You've done the mindset work. Journaled the money beliefs. Said the good things out loud in the mirror while your body sat there, not buying it.
Because your body was never listening to the words. It was listening to your history.
You've been handed two options, and both of them keep you stuck.
One tells you to override your body. The other tells you to shrink the wanting until your body can tolerate it. Neither one is touching the thing that's actually holding the ceiling in place.
Neither of them has ever put a hand on the actual tissue. And neither of them can tell you when — when it is time for the brave move, when the stillness is wisdom, and when it is another dam keeping you small.
Fascia Alchemy™
Dissolving the dams, yours and your ancestors', so that when desire moves through you, you can feel whether it is coming from the flow or from the dam. Whether it is real longing, or restlessness that was never yours to begin with.
Satisfaction is not the opposite of desire. It is the soil from which real desire grows.
Small enough to finish tonight.
Heavy enough to change what your body allows.
Four things that are true about your body
Your fascia is a river, and it has dams in it.
Picture a river of rose quartz running head to toe under your skin. That's your fascia, the tissue that wraps every muscle, organ, and nerve you have. It is liquid crystal, and it carries everything. Every time something happened that you couldn't fully feel at the time, the tissue thickened at that spot and made a dam. The river kept flowing around it. You kept going. And it got quietly harder to receive.
Takeaway: This is not a metaphor. It is tissue, and it is measurable.
Your restlessness is loyalty.
One month after my wedding I wanted to run. I loved my husband. I loved our life. And I was packing my bags, because my body had learned, before I had any say in it, that stability was not safe. That is a protection system running exactly as designed, decades after the danger ended.
Takeaway: A pattern is something you can put your hands on. That is the whole difference.
Some of it was never yours to carry.
In fifteen years with my hands on women's bodies, here is what I keep finding. The pattern that says don't hold too much, don't get comfortable, don't stay, often did not start with her. It came down the line. Her mother's grief that never got spoken. Her grandmother's wanting, tucked away small. You can feel where it lives in you, and you can hand it back.
Takeaway: What was handed to you can be handed back.
Pressure turns a dam back into a river.
Your own hand, resting on your own skin, sinking in and waiting at the barrier without forcing through, creates a small electrical charge in the tissue. The solid place softens back toward liquid. This is why the book has a practice at the end of every chapter, and why you will feel something in the first one. You are not reading about this. You're doing it, on your couch, tonight.
Women don't come to me for their money.
And then their money changes.
"What was fragmented and blurry is becoming whole. Closer to me."
"I closed the bread business I'd outgrown and filled a bodywork practice instead."
"Connecting more deeply with a version of myself I would not have tapped into."
I got my own proof the hard way. After a traumatic birth I lost my orgasm for seven years. I got it back through this work, in my own body, with my own hands. My money changed after that, not before it. My body had to be able to hold it first.
Your body has been keeping the ceiling in place to keep you safe.
The money lands, and your shoulders come down instead of going up.
The good week arrives, and you are not scanning the horizon for what it's going to cost you.
You want more, from a full body instead of an empty one. And you can tell the difference now.
This is what I mean by wealth in the bank AND the body. Not one at the expense of the other. Not the version where you make a lot of money and cannot feel any of it.
What was your ceiling becomes your floor. And you stay there, because staying is finally safe.
When you have everything, you can have anything.
I found the brochure in my mailbox the same month I wanted to leave my brand new marriage.
I walked down the driveway of our farm in Vermont, opened the mailbox, and there was a brochure for Myofascial Release. I just knew in that moment that this brochure would change my life.
I booked a session, and within minutes of that therapist's hands on my body I was weeping, and the tears felt old. Like they belonged to a much younger version of me.
Here is what I found. The woman who can't hold onto money and the woman who can't feel pleasure are usually holding the same dam in their fascia. And it is usually older than she is.
I live on 92 acres in Vermont with my husband and our three children. I am not writing this from a stage. I wrote it at my kitchen table, nursing a toddler, in a body that finally lets me keep what I've built.
Seven chapters.
Six places in your body where the dam is held.
Your heart, where the desire got tucked away. Your chest, where the bracing lives. Your subconscious, where your body wrote its rule about how much is safe. Your pelvic bowl. Your throat. And unwinding, where the body finally moves on its own.
What your fascia actually is — a river of liquid crystal running head to toe, and the dams sitting in it. You will have your hands on the first one before the chapter ends.
Why your body wants to blow up the good thing. A protection system running exactly as designed, decades after the danger ended. Plus the brochure in the mailbox that changed my life.
The upper limit, and the client I nearly wrecked my marriage over. Then the subconscious practice, and the written questions that find the moment your body decided how much was safe.
Cornwall, an 1800s family bible, and the four wounds I find in a woman's pelvic bowl no matter what brought her to my table: lack of support, loss of power, shame, grief.
Why waiting at the barrier changes the tissue instead of forcing through it, what happened to the women who did this work, and the unwinding practice I do every single day.
Naked and cold in front of fifteen women in Glastonbury, and what a swallowed voice sounds like when it finally moves. We end at your throat.
Everything you just learned is yours to keep and do on your own — the sternum release, the pelvic bowl, the throat, the unwinding. They work whether or not I am in the room.
The book shows you the door.
Satisfied walks you through it.
The book teaches the practice once. This experience runs it with you until your body stops arguing. Twenty-one days of prompts, fascia self-care and deep subconscious journey.
A few things you might be wondering
No. I explain it in a paragraph, in plain words, with your own hand on your own chest. You do not need to understand fascia to feel it release. My clients feel it before they can explain it.
Both, and that is the whole point. Teachers who work with the body are allergic to business. Teachers who talk about business have bodies falling apart. I am a teacher of both, and my body feels amazing. This is what is possible.
Different floor of the same house. Therapy works with the story. This works with the tissue that has been holding it. Plenty of women come to me having understood their patterns perfectly for years, and nothing moved until their body was in the room.
You will know by the end of chapter two, because your hand will be on your sternum and something will let go or it won't. That is the honest answer. Most women feel heat, or the urge to yawn, or tears out of nowhere.
Full disclosure. I want you in my world, and this is the most honest way I know to show you how I work. There is deeper work after this, and I will tell you about it plainly at the end. If you never buy another thing from me and just do the practices, I will feel like my work is done.
If you have built something good and you can feel yourself holding it at arm's length, yes. If your body tenses when things go well. If you are successful and quietly cannot enjoy it. If your body says not yet, that is information too. Honor it.
You had a body that was not allowed to keep it.
One tiny book, your own two hands, and one evening. The door is open.
